I love to teach as much as I love to learn. With a degree in education and years of experience, I am able to incorporate both traditional and modern teaching methods in the classroom. I have taught students of all ages in the Philippines, South Korea, and the USA; and I love the cultural diversity that makes our world so fascinating.
I develop the enrichment classes, courses, printable worksheets in all the classes here at Tagalog School based on the goal of helping students grow in their appreciation of the Philippines, the Filipino language, and heritage. My degree in education and passion in teaching and learning have aided me to bring traditional and current practices in the classroom. I have varied experiences teaching school-aged children and adults in the Philippines, South Korea, USA. I love cultural diversity and how it makes this world an exciting place to be. Aside from running this Tagalog online program, I am also an ESL teacher and have taught 6,000+ online classes (and counting) to date.
My goal as an educator is to inspire my students to be enthusiastic about learning, and I find great joy in witnessing their progress. I love to listen to children and interact with them. I firmly believe that a well-rounded education is essential for a fulfilling and successful life. While good grades are important, it is equally crucial to make time for the things that truly matter. In my leisure time, I enjoy traveling with my family, hanging out with my kids, tending my little garden, doing crafts, writing and publishing children's books, leading out VBS and the Children's Ministry at our local church, going on mission trips, singing karaoke, cooking international dishes, and indulging in spicy foods!
I hope to embark on this learning journey together with you and provide the support that you need.
I look forward to meeting you in class.
😊 Blessings, Helen
