Tagalog for Kinder Kids
A fun Tagalog (Filipino) class designed for young, beginning learners. Students will learn target vocabulary and expressions which will be introduced through songs and some other related activities.
Mabuhay! This is a fun and engaging Tagalog class designed for young learners, preschoolers, and kindergartners (4-6 years old) in mind. Students will learn the very basics of Tagalog. We will learn through songs and simple conversations. We will go over colors, feelings, numbers, days of the week, etc. Students will be able to build their vocabulary skills as they are introduced to new words and phrases in each class. This is a bilingual class. English will be used as the mode of instruction while Tagalog will be introduced as a second language. The children will enjoy the activities facilitated by the teacher while learning Tagalog. I will be using slides and other visual aids to spark interest and enhance learning in a virtual classroom. Students will have an opportunity to interact with the teacher and get to know other students in class. This class will not only teach the Filipino language but will also include enhanced social skills as students engage in class. They will also build cultural awareness about the Philippines. This preschool/kindergarten Tagalog class is ongoing and will meet once per week. We will review the basics and add new words and concepts as we move along. Students will have the option to attend all the classes or join during the days they are available. Each section has a different start time.
