Primary Kids Tagalog
A Tagalog ongoing course designed for children ages 7-10 to enjoy learning the basics of colors, numbers, feelings, action words, and more. Lessons focus on simple sentences to develop conversational skills.
Mabuhay! This fun and engaging Tagalog class is for beginning primary learners aged 7-10 years old. Students will learn Tagalog through songs and simple conversations, covering topics such as weather, feelings, parts of the body, months of the year, and more. Each class will introduce new words and phrases to help students build their vocabulary skills. Although not required, students who are able to read will be able to participate more effectively. This is a bilingual class where English will be used as the primary mode of instruction with Tagalog introduced as a second language. Children will enjoy participating in the activities led by the teacher. Visual aids, like slides, will be used to generate interest and facilitate learning in a virtual classroom. Students will have the opportunity to interact with the teacher and with each other. In addition to learning the Filipino language, the class will also focus on enhanced social skills as students engage in class. They will also gain cultural awareness about the Philippines. This primary Tagalog class will meet once per week and is ongoing. We will review the basics and introduce new words and concepts as we progress. Students can choose to attend all classes or join on the days they are available, as each section has a different start time.
