My name is Helen --- the face behind TagalogSchool.com. I love to teach as much as I love to learn. Over the years, I have developed courses, lesson plans, printable worksheets, and classes that I share here in my website. TagalogSchool.com was created based on the goal of helping students grow in their appreciation of the Philippines, the Filipino language, and heritage.With a degree in education and years of experience, I am able to incorporate both traditional and modern teaching methods in my online classroom. Aside from running this Tagalog online program, I am also an ESL teacher and have taught 6,000+ online English classes (and counting) to date. I have taught students of all ages in the Philippines, South Korea, and the USA; and I love the cultural diversity that makes our world so fascinating.

My goal as an educator is to inspire my students to be enthusiastic about learning, and I find great joy in witnessing their progress. I love to listen to children and interact with them. I firmly believe that a well-rounded education is essential for a fulfilling and successful life. While good grades are important, it is equally crucial to make time for the things that truly matter. In my leisure time, I enjoy traveling with my family, hanging out with my kids, tending my little garden, doing crafts, creating children's books, leading out children's programs (choir, VBS, outreach ministries) at our local church, going on mission trips, singing karaoke, cooking international dishes, and indulging in spicy foods!
